Gwen Stefani's fashion line 'lifelong ambition'
Songstress Gwen Stefani has claimed that her foray into fashion design was not just following a trend.
The No Doubt singer and solo artist said that having a fashion career has been an ambition since childhood, rather than just copying other celebrity fashion icons who have also created their own clothing ranges.
US star Stefani launched her clothing label L.A.M.B in 2003, its name reflecting that of her debut solo album Love.Angel.Music.Baby, which was released in 2004 to international acclaim.
However, the singer claims that even if she wasn't always in the celebrity mags with the pararazzi following her, she would still be doing the same thing.
She commented: "I just love getting ready. Growing up I was always playing dolls and dress-up, so it's like I'm still doing the same thing as when I was eight years old," World Entertainment News Network reports.
Stefani recently became a celebrity mum, giving birth to baby boy Kingston James McGregor Rossdale with her husband, Bush guitarist and lead singer Gavin Rossdale, last year.
