Mac unveils Barbie makeup collection Grown-up Barbie girls around the world had their dreams come true today with the launch of the limited-edition Barbie Loves Mac makeup collection.



The collection marks the first time that the famous doll has partnered with an adult cosmetics company and promises a "modern rebel attitude" and "fashionable indie style" combined with Barbie's favourite candy pinks, girlish greens and buttercup yellows.

Must-have items in the collection include a classic lipstick priced at £11.00 and available in amazing colours including the sexy Sweet & Single and the vibrant Rocking Chick.

The range also includes a Glimmershimmer lotion, powder blush, high gloss nail lacquer and much more, all branded with a Barbie ponytail silhouette logo, and is expected to fly off the shelves.

"Many women's first experiences with fashion and beauty were playing with Barbie," said Mattel's Richard Dickson.

"Today this fantasy continues with Barbie Loves Mac, a colour collection that allows women to rediscover their inner girl.

A collectable Barbie doll has been created to celebrate the new range, blending Mac's "downtown, sophisticated style" with old-fashioned Barbie glamour.
