Mariah Carey makes Pinko appearance US diva Mariah Carey jetted into London on Thursday for one of her first engagements as the new face of fashion label Pinko.



Carey joins fellow high-profile stars Eva Herzigova and Naomi Campbell in becoming an ambassador for the brand, having signed what is said to be "a very, very big deal" with the label.

The singer arrived at the Pinko clothing store in Knightsbridge wearing a pair of gold-decorated jeans, thought to be worth around £3,000, Metro reports, which were created for her by the label.

She said she was "really flattered" to have been made the new face of the brand, having enjoyed buying its clothes while in Italy.

The Grammy award-winner also gave her thoughts on the size zero model debate, saying that models this size should not be banned from the catwalk.

"I don't think anyone should be banned from anything. There should not be a precedent. That cannot work if you are naturally a size zero," she said.
