Disney bridal gowns to make women feel like princesses.
At first glance, it may not seem like designer fashion and Disney have that much in common, but this is set to change with the launch of a new line of wedding dresses based on the Disney princesses.
Created by top designer of bridalwear, Kirstie Kelly, the Fairy Tale Weddings bridal collection will feature ballgown and evening gown-style wedding dresses inspired by the Disney princesses Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty's Aurora, Beauty and the Beast's Belle, Aladdin's Jasmine and the Little Mermaid's Ariel.
Not exact copies of the dresses worn by the princesses in the films, the dresses have instead been designed to fit in with the different fashion styles that "capture the beauty, magic and essence" of each princess.
The wedding gowns are to be launched at the beginning of June at bridal boutiques in the US and Japan, with a bridesmaid and flower girl range to be unveiled later in October.
"We wanted women to feel like they had something in common with these princesses. We had to identify who the princesses are now and who does the everyday girl relate to,'' Ms Kelly told Associated Press.
